The Monastery Café

We are a friendly, community based café set in the stunning grounds of Prinknash Abbey.
We pride ourselves on our service. We offer our guests a range of breakfast and light lunch options along with Fairtrade coffees and a range of baked goods made with love by our talented team. Dogs are welcome in the Café foyer area where dog treats and water bowls are available.

All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ; I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
With this in mind we open our doors and serve you daily.
We bake all of our cakes and scones, serve a delicious blend of fair trade coffee and a wide range of snacks and treats including breakfast, light lunches and a wide range of home baked cakes and ice cream.

Your visit
Many guests like to visit us to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside, visit our Chapel or walled garden or just to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Monastic Estate.
The Monastery Shop & Café is fully wheelchair accessible and we offer free parking to all of our guests.
A word about our ingredients
Our food is made using mostly local, seasonal produce with many of our baked goods featuring fruit hand-picked from the Monastery's very own Victorian Walled Garden.
We serve a range of locally and ethically sourced beverages, including freshly ground Fairtrade coffee, pure fruit juices and craft beers and ciders.
We try to cater for special dietary requirements and offer a wide range of vegetarian options, a selection of gluten free cakes and baked goods and dairy free foods.
