Prinknash Portraits in Oil

An oil portrait is a fantastic way to commemorate a special moment, whether that be an anniversary, a birthday or even just to capture a person in time.

Your special portrait will hang on your wall as a precious reminder for generations to come.

As a reference for the oil painting, Father Stephen first likes to take a posed photograph of the subject in the correct lighting and setting.

The painting can be made using an existing photographs but Father Stephen prefers to meet the person who is to be painted in order to truly capture their essence.

Various sizes are available and these can be discussed with Father Stephen.

Watercolours

Father Stephen enjoys capturing the play of light on ancient stonework

and the challenge of rendering faces in watercolour.

Here is a selection of his watercolour paintings of Monastic buildings from around Britain, as well as portraits of past clients.
